Our experience with Mr. Kristopher Fraley deserves highest appreciation and five stars all around. We bought our house through a NACA loan and got one of the lowest mortgage payments imaginable with a 2% interest rate. Thanks to the knowledge and the relationships Kristopher and their team has built over the years, our house buying experience with NACA was smooth and I don’t think it would have been smooth if it wasn’t for their team.
We heard many good things about NACA but we were a bit skeptical because it sounded too good to be true. My wife and I having excellent credit ratings and enough savings to get a conventional loan, we had to contemplate the pros and cons. After talking to Kristopher and crunching some numbers, it was no brainer that a NACA loan with zero closing costs and down payment with the ability to buy down the interest rate was the best option. Kristopher provided us with the necessary guidance to get pre-approved in a month. Then we were off to house hunting.

We wanted to buy the best home we could afford within minutes from my work in downtown Silver Spring. We were not sure of many things when it came to the house so Kristopher was very patient in understanding what we truly valued. Then one day, there was a house, an ideal listing, a thoroughly renovated single family home that was $15k more than what we could afford through NACA. We had little hope but Kristopher believed in us being able to buy this home. Kristopher spoke with the selling realtor to explain our situation, we submitted our best offer that was $15k less than the asking price, and the seller accepted.
It is not easy to close on a home with NACA due to their strict requirements and steps, which we have to go through. In addition, we had one of the toughest sellers that put incredible amount of pressure on Kristopher. However, Kristopher and his team was cool and calm and we were able to get everything done and close on our dream home.
If you are reading this, then the best advice I can give is Kristopher & Credric’s team got your back. This will be the easiest decision you will make in choosing a real estate agent. I know I will be buying and selling more homes in the future and I know I have one of the best in the industry that got my best interest at heart!
When searching for a realtor, many questions come to mind. Will they push me into a home I don’t want so they can get paid? Will they make the time to help me see properties after work? Will they understand how to find a home for unique situations? Will they try to get me to spend my max budget so they can get a higher cut?
There are SO MANY QUESTIONS! There are SO MANY CONCERNS! Buying a home can be a terrifying experience in itself – without even thinking about adding a realtor to the mix. Thankfully, the fears of my husband and I were eased with Kris by our side.
We came across a posting for NACA on Facebook. We had recently enrolled in the NACA program and were looking for more information. We found Kris in March of 2017. Kris is the NACA expert on this team and spent months working with us on finding a home. Ultimately, after giving it the “old college try,” we decided that NACA was not the best program for our family.
We contacted Kris to pickup where we left off. After meeting with about 3 other realtors since 2014, we were nervous. We were hoping to find someone to actually understand what we needed instead of pushing us where they wanted us to go. We had a unique situation. We essentially wanted an income property for us to live in for the next 5-7 years. The most important factors were cost, potential return on investment, and that there was adequate space for my family to live comfortably right now.
Kris met with us several times and always made himself available to us. He was patient with our needs, understanding when we voiced potential concerns, and went out of his way to ensure that we were satisfied. On the homes that we attempted to put in offers, he ensured that we took our time and thought about the decision before acting. This was a blessing as we’ve had other’s attempt to rush us into acting. Kris met us on rainy days, on sunny days, on summer weekends when he should’ve been with his family, and even on a few evenings when we knew we wouldn’t be available on the weekend… He was extremely accommodating. He made himself available to panic phone calls, random question texts, and even a multitude of emails (talking over 100). Even when we considered going above our budget, he helped us to remain realistic.
After home searching since 2014, my husband and I had our mind made up on a lot of things that we wanted, at times, offering lower than recommended. Kris explained the risks, the potential outcome, and still respected our decision – even when we went against what he recommended. He fought for us on every deal even when he disagreed with the risks we took. We spent the entire summer and fall searching and making offers on potentials. We revisited our must have’s a thousand times. The market was limited, homes were overpriced – true seller’s market.
Thankfully, after a long process – we found our home this fall. We offered much less than what was recommended for a fully renovated home. Kris took the time to ask why and how we arrived at the number. After explaining, he fully understood our stance and fought tooth and nail for us to come to an agreement with the seller. We were able to find a mutual agreement and purchased our home at $24k less than the original list price. The home even appraised at $10k more than what we paid for it!
The journey was still not over! We had a few issues with inspections and Kris worked tirelessly to ensure that the seller did the right thing and fixed our must haves. Even AFTER the purchase, there were/are a few issues with things that had to be fixed in our home. Kris kept and is keeping in contact with us on progress, expectations, and ensuring that the seller fixes everything she agreed to fix and any issues that arose from those “fixed” items.
After a few panic calls about the 3rd inspection, he was even able to get the seller to agree to a 1 year home warranty for FREE!!!
What more can I say? Kris is knowledgeable, patient, and pretty darn great at his chosen profession. If we had to do this again, our only wish is that we could’ve met Kris sooner! If you are looking for someone open minded, extremely intelligent, and someone who won’t rest until he helps you find exactly what you need – look no further- Kris is the man for the job! At this point, we consider him a friend and look forward to our next purchase with him in the next 5-10 years.

As a first time home buyer, they walked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable and knowledgeable about all decisions that were made. This is not an ordinary review to “promote” Kris’s services. This is a genuine and honest review of Kris Fraley as a realtor. First of all, My mother (Gabriela Goin) had a dream of having a house under her name since she arrived in the U.S. (more specifically Montgomery County, Maryland) from Peru in 1990. Fast forward to 2015, she has lived in Montgomery County since she arrived in the U.S. 28 years ago. In January of 2015, we first heard of the NACA program via my older brother Jose, who happens to be one of Kris’ childhood friends.
We originally thought the NACA program was “too good to be true”, however after a few conversations with my family, my brother and I convinced my mother to take a chance with NACA to attempt to fulfill her lifelong dream of purchasing a house under her name. Kris said if we were willing to put the time in, he would too. My mom had specific requirements when looking for a house. Requirements such as having 3 bedrooms, a deck, 2 full bathrooms, a modern looking kitchen, wood floors and most importantly, buying a house in her home of Montgomery County. Nobody in my family has ever purchased a home.
Here are the details of our loan we received through the NACA program:
Purchase Price: $295,000
Loan Amount: $276,452
Interest Rate: 0.25%(Yes, 1/4th of 1%!)
Monthly Payment: $1,231
With this ridiculously low interest rate our family is saving approximately $270,000 in interest & fees that would be part of a “normal” conventional loan. We build around 9k in equity per year excluding any property appreciation over time. That is unheard of.
Through the NACA program we paid no closing costs, no private mortgage insurance, we did not have perfect credit, paid ABSOLUTELY NO BOGUS FEES OF ANY KIND. (Application, appraisal, transfer/recordation taxes etc.) The list goes on.
It took my mother 3 years start to finish to buy a home through the NACA program but in actuality, it took my mother 28 years to FINALLY accomplish one of her lifelong dreams. None of this would’ve happened without Kris. The level of patience, persistence, determination and pure faith that he demonstrated throughout the three year process is honestly indescribable. Especially during the times when my mother was on the brink of giving up because of NACA’s gruesome requirements and constantly requesting more and more paperwork such as non-stop paystubs, bank statements, letters explaining certain payments, etc.
My mother was initially NACA qualified yet, lost her job of 10 years right as she was out searching for homes. It took her a whole additional year to re-quality. Fortunately, Kris constantly kept reminding us via text messages, phone calls and face to face visits that this will all be worth it in the end to NOT go with a conventional loan, and to encourage my mother to not throw in the towel and he was indeed right. If we ended up going the conventional route, not only would we have paid a mass amount of interest & fees, we would have only qualified for about 200k and would have had to settle for a condo. We we’re able to buy the townhouse we always wanted! Navigating the NACA program is no easy feat, however for those who tough it out, the ultimate reward is amazing!
This wasn’t just my mother’s dream, this was an INVESTMENT for our family name which words can’t describe how grateful and lucky I truly am to have had Kris by our side this entire time because without him, I would not be typing this message right now in our new home. Kris is an unbelievable, tenacious person who will help you buy the house that is right for you. He will be patient with you, he will encourage you and most of all, he will do everything in his POWER to make sure that you are blown away with the end result. With that being said, he will not do the work for you. YOU must be willing to put in the “sweat equity” as he likes to call it.
