Currently living with parents & going through NACA?
Are you living with parents trying to save to buy a home?
The key is to start saving your payment shock as soon as possible!
If you are living with your parents, you will be required to show a six month Payment Shock history anyway, so do get started now. That way, you will have already met that requirement by the time you have your first counseling appointment. That means one less (major) hurdle to getting NACA qualified.
If you are not paying rent at present, your Payment Shock amount will be the full amount of your desired monthly mortgage payment.
If you are paying rent, make sure you are doing so by check, as you will need the cancelled checks as proof of the current amount.
When you get close to the first appointment, let your employer know that they will be receiving a Verification of Employment form from NACA.
This may also help reduce the turn around time for qualification.
